Kootenay Lake is reknown for its large rainbow trout as well as big lake trout. Kootenay Lake is 97 miles long and nestled between the Selkirk and Purcell mountain ranges.
One of British Columbia’s best kept secrets, the Kootenays are an unbelievable area of forests, lakes, mountains and rivers that offer the best biking, boating, hiking, fishing, golf and horseback riding outdoor adventures around.
We also fish the Columbia River, Duncan Lake, Kalamalka Lake, and Nootka Sound on Vancouver Island. Enjoy fishing for bull trout, rainbow trout, salmon, trophy halibut and walleye or just a day out on the water, and drink in the relaxing landscape that BC has to offer. The lakes around the Kootenay area are famous for their Gerrard Rainbow Trout that are constantly weighing in between 20 and 30 lbs.
Enjoy a day on the S.S. Suzanna, our 34-foot catamaran-style boat can hold up to 12 and has all the comforts of home including a heated cabin, washroom and barbecue. With plenty of room, we can run as many as nine lines at a single time, allowing you and your family or friends the ultimate kootenay fishing experience.
With more than 32-years experience we have landed 238 rainbows over 20-pounds and 11 bull trout (dolly varden) over 20-pounds.
We supply an experienced guide and all equipment including tackle. You need to bring only your licence, food, beverages and warm clothing for a minimum 8 hour day. We have wheelchair access and plenty of room.
